I was fortunate enough to be asked to share a stand at the Wellington Wedding Show 2012. It has been a while since being part of a show. And, I did enjoy it. The excitement, the happy crowd – there for the purpose of getting their wedding sorted, the mums, dads, friends, grooms to be and the lovely brides to be. There was to be no confusion over who was who, as the organisers had all attendees wearing a sticker labeling them ‘bride’, ‘groom’, ‘friend of the bride’, ‘father of the bride’, etc. It certainly made my job easier and far less embarrassing, as there was to be no confusing, ie, an older groom as being a father of the bride. One woman tried to confuse me with a ‘mother of the bride’ sticker – she was just too young (or maybe that means I am getting old!). I had a Wedding Show special and a raffle. I had some lovely comments about my portfolio from attendees. And, pleasingly, I have had some enquiries. Thank you Wedding Show organisers for giving my stand a prize for how it looked. I am looking forward to the next Wedding Show in Wellington. You did a fab job!!
